is the city that we come from
Hip hop
heads and bloggers alike, we have something really special for ya in this
article. This is very special for me and my fellow blogger as this article is
about a group that is close to home. Lets all take a second to read about one
of the greatest groups in hip hop, Cleveland’s own Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Taking
a little trip back to circa 1990 Bone first started out under the moniker
“B.O.N.E. Enterprise” and consisted of Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone
and Wish Bone. They released there first album together called “Faces of Death”.
Eventually another member was added to the group named Flesh-n-Bone. Later the group started traveling and went to Los
Angeles in hopes of meeting up with N.W.A. member Eazy-E. After an over the
phone audition Bone found out Eazy-E would be performing in Cleveland. They
managed to open for his show and were signed to “Ruthless Records” on the spot.
Now going with the greatly known “Bone Thugs-n-Harmony” moniker in 1994 the
group dropped there second album “Creepin on Ah Come Up”. By far a great album
it has many noteworthy tracks including "Mr. Ouija", "Thuggish
Ruggish Bone", "Creepin on ah Come Up" and "Foe tha Love of
$". I will never forget my junior high and high school years hearing "Thuggish
Ruggish Bone" just remembering the good times and good summers. Bone in
midst of this album displayed there well known style which fused amazing flow
and lyrics as well as harmonizing too. With the recent success of “Creepin ON
Ah Come Up” in 1995 Bone Thugs-n-Harmony released there next album “E. 1999 Eternal”.
“E. 1999 Eternal” still to this day in considered a highly acclaimed album.
With production from “DJ U-Neek” E. 1999 Eternal has many phenomenal songs
including "East 1999", "Mr. Bill Collector", "Tha
Crossroads", "No Shorts, No Losses", "1st of tha
Month" , "Buddah Lovaz" and "Mo Murda
" .
No one
can forget when they first heard ", "Tha Crossroads",
"Buddah Lovaz" or "1st of
tha Month" I remember just sparking tons of conversations just talking
about those songs and enjoying the times. In 1997 Bone Thugs-n-Harmony released
the double disc set album “The Art of War”. Another nice album from Bone it
includes many great tracks such as "Look into My Eyes", "If I
Could Teach the World" and "Thug Luv" (feat. 2pac). In 2000 Bone
Thugs-n-Harmony released “BTNHResurrection”. This album heavily featured
Flesh-n-Bone and featured many hit tracks like "Resurrection (Paper,
Paper)" , "Change The World" and a Bizzy Bone Solo titled "One
Night Stand". Flesh-n-Bone was arrested due to a weapons charge
altercation thus leaving the group missing a member temporarily. Bone’s next
album “Thug World Order” came out in 2002 and featured cool tracks like "Get
up & Get It" (feat. 3LW) and "Home" (feat. Phil Collins). Shortly
after the album release Bizzy Bone and the group were having altercations and
Bizzy was the next member to leave the group leaving only Krayzie Bone, Wish
Bone and Layzie Bone. Still the group continued to move on they released “Thug
Stories” in 2006. It included such
tracks as "Thug Stories" and "Still No Surrender". In 2007 after a rough times with the group as
a whole Bone Thugs-n-Harmony would get a bit of a resurface as they released
the amazing album “Strength & Loyalty”. “Strength ans Loyalty” has many
great features including Swizz Beatz, Game, and will.i.am, Mariah Carey, Bow
Wow, Twista, Yolanda Adams, Akon and Fleetwood Mac. With an allstar lineup like
that the album followed through with many amazing tracks like "Flowmotion",
"Wind Blow", "I Tried", "Lil Love" and "Never
Forget Me". I remember hearing “I Tried” and just vibing with it and
feelin the powerful message from it.
Following
“Strenght and Loyalty” Bone Thugs-n-Harmony released “T.H.U.G.S.” which is an
album featuring many previously unreleased tracks. Some of those tracks include
"Sweet Jane” and "Young Thugs". Later in 2007 Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
would reunite which would put forth hope of a future album with all the
members. With the group fully back together in 2010 Bone Thugs-n-Harmony would
release “Uni5: The World's Enemy”. A great album it includes many great songs
like "Rebirth", "See Me Shine" and "Meet Me in the
Sky". Many of the Members of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are still making Albums
and Mixtapes as well as appearing on other artist tracks for features and
cameos. Bone is the ultimate storyof a group brought together by music that is
still strong and ongoing today. Bone put Cleveland, Ohio on the map when it
comes to hip hop and everyone should always pay homage to them. In your music rotations
take some time to add some great tunes from one of the best groups around “Bone
Thugs-n-Harmony.If you didn’t know Bizzy bone was one of the first kids to
be found on a American most wanted here is the interview
, This group brought a lot of versatile to
the game being able to tongue twist fast ,make songs that catch your mind with

Notorius B.I.G.:
Armed and dangerous
Ain't too many can bang with us.
Straight up weed,
No angel dust.

Notorious
Thug-ass niggas that love to bust.
It's strange to us,
Y'all niggas be scramblin', gamblin'
up in restaurants with mandolins and violins.
We just sittin' here tryin' to win,
Try not to sin, high off weed and lots of gin.
So much smoke, need oxygen, steadily countin' them Benjamins.
Nigga, you'd should, too,
If you knew what this game would do to you.
Been in this shit since ninety-two.
Look at all the bullshit I've been through:
So-called beef with you-know-who,
Fucked a few female stars or two.
Then a blue light,
Niggas move like Mike,
